SECURITY SPECIALIST

About this role

FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience operating a security program while ensuring compliance with personnel security standards and programs and maintaining an electronic investigation background program.

Experience implementing a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult security problems. Experience adhering to DoD/DoN requirements as they relate to Clearance Exception Packages to assist in making final clearance determinations. Experience utilizing Electronic Questionnaire Investigation Program Direct (EQIP), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Electronic Fingerprinting and Central Adjudication Tracking Systems (CATS).

Experience planning multi-layered security systems using state of the art security equipment and devices in the implementation of protective measures and procedures. Experience adhering to DoD/DoN requirements as they relate to Clearance Exception Packages to assist in making final clearance determinations; Experience utilizing electronic access control and badging systems to properly issue and program command access cards.
