Security Engineer

About this role

To run day-to-day security operations, the full-time Security Engineer will find and fix vulnerabilities across the Google Cloud Platform environment and Python/Django applications while managing tools and controls that protect devices, networks, and accounts in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Scan and monitor the GCP environment and self-hosted services for vulnerabilities, prioritizing by risk and tracking issues to resolution Resolve vulnerabilities directly and collaborate with engineering for larger fixes Maintain security logging and monitoring, support incident investigations, and manage endpoint security across company devices Required qualifications 2+ years in security, cloud, systems administration, DevOps, or software engineering Proficiency in Python and experience working in a production codebase Strong Linux fundamentals, including patching and maintaining production systems Experience with Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, EDR, MDM, logging and monitoring, and network security
