SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-10: To be eligible for this position, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience includes: Experience determining the appropriate administrative disposition of correspondence, directives, and issues requiring management action and coordinates required follow-up activities.
Experience reviewing incoming directives, policy issuances, administrative documents, and action packages to identify required administrative actions and recommend appropriate disposition. Experience evaluating administrative procedures and office practices, identifying process deficiencies, and recommending procedural improvements to support office operations and administrative workflow. Experience serving as an administrative liaison by coordinating organizational communications, administrative activities, and office operations among management officials and organizational components.
Experience conducting administrative training sessions and providing guidance on office procedures and administrative requirements to support consistent administrative operations. Experience performing administrative support activities involving budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, budget recommendations, preparation of periodic and annual administrative reports, and related office management functions. Experience coordinating responses to urgent administrative matters, resolving administrative issues affecting office operations, and monitoring completion of assigned administrative actions.
AND TYPING PROFICIENCY: Applicants must be qualified typists with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute (based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors). Applicants may meet these requirements by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates by the Office of Personnel Management local office, or by self-certifying their proficiency.
