About this role

Position Summary As Product Owner for Sadie, you will be responsible for turning our product vision and roadmap into clearly defined, deliverable product outcomes. You will work closely with management, customers, engineering, design, and commercial teams to understand what needs to be built, define how it should work, and ensure it is delivered successfully. A major part of your role will be translating product ideas and customer problems into clear requirements, workflows, tickets, acceptance criteria, and expected behaviours that engineering can execute against.

You will own the detail behind the roadmap and ensure what we ship fulfils the original product and customer intent. Values Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong ownership and accountability Customer-focused and outcome-driven Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking questions Open to feedback and continuous improvement High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion What You’ll Be Doing Work closely with management to translate the Sadie product vision and roadmap into actionable product initiatives.

Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and aligned with the roadmap. Break larger product initiatives into clear requirements, user stories, workflows, tickets, and acceptance criteria. Define exactly how Sadie should behave across different customer scenarios and edge cases. Ensure engineering has the context and requirements needed to build features correctly without ambiguity.

Work closely with engineering throughout development to answer questions, resolve ambiguity, make trade-offs, and keep delivery aligned with the intended product outcome. Review and validate completed work against requirements and acceptance criteria before release. Test Sadie across real-world scenarios to ensure features and behaviours work as intended. Review real customer calls, feedback, and product usage to identify gaps, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement.

Work with customers and internal teams to understand problems and translate feedback into actionable product requirements. Coordinate product pilots and releases, including defining scope, expected behaviour, success criteria, and feedback loops. Identify dependencies, blockers, risks, and missing requirements before they impact delivery. Maintain clear documentation around product functionality, decisions, requirements, and expected behaviour.

Track progress against the roadmap and communicate product status, blockers, and changes to relevant stakeholders. What You Bring 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role.

Experience working closely with software engineering teams to deliver customer-facing products. Strong ability to take a high-level product idea and turn it into detailed, actionable requirements. Strong understanding of product workflows, user journeys, edge cases, and expected system behaviours. Experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify gaps or ambiguity before development begins. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic decisions when requirements or priorities change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Experience managing complex products with multiple integrations and dependencies. Experience working in a startup or fast-moving product environment.

Comfortable working in an environment where the roadmap evolves quickly based on customer and business needs. Am I Right for This Position? You will be a strong fit if you enjoy taking an idea that may initially be high-level or ambiguous and turning it into something an engineering team can confidently build. You should naturally think about questions like: What exactly should happen? What happens if something goes wrong? What are the edge cases? What does success look like? Does what we built actually match what we intended? You do not need to be an engineer.

You do need to be comfortable working closely with engineers and taking ownership of the detail required to turn a product vision into a working product. Why Is This Job Important? Sadie is evolving quickly, and our ability to execute on our product vision depends on turning ideas and customer needs into clear, well-defined work for our engineering teams. The Product Owner sits between vision and execution. Your responsibility is to make sure the roadmap does not remain a collection of ideas.

It becomes clearly defined functionality that engineering can build, customers can use, and the business can measure. What Will I Learn in This Position? You will gain hands-on experience building and scaling a rapidly evolving technology product used in real customer interactions every day. You will work closely with leadership, engineering, customers, and commercial teams and develop a deep understanding of how product strategy is translated into requirements, delivered through engineering, validated with customers, and continuously improved.
