Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, you MUST meet the qualification requirements outlined below by the closing date of this announcement: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION FOR GS-09: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Researching and interpreting tax laws, regulations, procedural instructions, and/or IRS guidelines.
Experience with analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for resolving clearly defined problems or issues. Experience with Excel, Outlook and the entire Microsoft Suite. Experience with training methods to deliver subject matter in a classroom environment. Experience with oral and written communication techniques to facilitate discussions, provide guidance and direction, and assist in developing job aids or training materials.
OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a field of study such as: accounting, finance, or business administration. OR Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a graduate degree in a field of study such as: accounting, finance, business administration or public administration. OR LL.B.or J.D., if related. OR You may qualify with an equivalent combination of qualifying experience and education.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION FOR GS-11: You must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Researching tax laws and issuances, Internal Revenue Code and Manual, and regulations sufficient to interpret procedural instructions, recommend changes to guidelines and procedures, develop job aids, and develop and present tax law training materials.
