Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience at this level may include: Conducting quality assurance visits to contractors, and/or production facilities to assure mission material meets established requirements; Developing, modifying, and standardizing simple contract clauses for quality assurance requirements; Recommending solutions to quality assurance problems; Developing quality assurance plans to monitor commodities or programs during product/system life cycle.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09) OR Education: A Ph.D.
or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, and other fields related to the position.
