About this role
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Supporting utility customer accounts by evaluating load characteristics such as service territory make up, end-user type or identifying energy conservation program needs; 2) collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support energy conservation programs or long-term demand-side acquisition strategies; and 3) creating and maintaining working relationships with management, internal counterparts and external entities such as; utility customers or local and regional energy conservation organizations to achieve conservation program goals.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 grade level. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
