About this role

GS-09: To be eligible at the GS-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Specialized Experience: is defined as performing the following types of duties: developing news releases, fact sheets, talking points, and related materials for publication in print and digital media; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with print and broadcast media; and conducting workshops, seminars, and other meetings with various audiences.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B. or J.D.) in a related field (e.g., Public Relations, Broadcast Journalism, Communication, & Radio/Television Media); OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements.

To qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
