Prospect Development Manager
About this role
Contract: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE), fixed-term for 12 months Salary: £24,310.80–£28,426.20 per annum for 3 days per week (full-time equivalent: £40,518–£47,377) Closing date: 2 November 2026 Interviews: Week commencing 9 November 2026 Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Prospect Development Manager to join our Relationship Fundraising team based in London, Aldgate East.
About us We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year. Our Relationship Fundraising team manages high-value giving across Trusts & Statutory, Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships.
As our first dedicated Prospect Development Manager, you’ll provide high-quality research and insight to help fundraisers prioritise approaches, identify routes into new donors and manage their pipelines more effectively. You’ll work with the Senior Trust & Statutory Fundraising Manager to agree clear priorities and a realistic delivery plan. This role has been carefully scoped for a part-time, fixed-term contract, with support from senior colleagues.
You won’t be expected to build a full prospect development function, and success will be measured by the quality and use of your research and insight, rather than income secured directly. Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model, with a requirement to spend a minimum of 50% of your working time in the office. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period. For colleagues on different contracts, including part-time or compressed contracts, this will be adjusted accordingly.
About you You’re an experienced prospect development professional who combines strategic thinking with practical research and delivery. You can turn complex information into clear, useful insight and build strong relationships across fundraising teams. You’re comfortable introducing new ways of working and prioritising a varied workload within the hours available. You share our commitment to ending youth homelessness and champion equality, diversity and inclusion.
