About this role
Key Responsibilities : Responsible for the strategic engagement on projects of any scale with client executive stakeholders. Responsible for identifying strategic risks to projects and overseeing their mitigation. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring the appropriate quality of all work orders and change requests relating to their projects, as well as suggesting enhancements where these fall short of enabling the document to operate as a firm foundation for the project.
Responsible for the approval of project deliverables, including forecasts, timesheet management, PSRs, etc., and is able to challenge the content of these in instances where consistency, accuracy, and completeness are compromised. Represents the Hitachi Solutions Delivery Team in strategic prospect meetings, where discussions cover governance best practice, strategic and business risk, amongst other topics. Responsible for articulating the content of reports to client executives, proactively identifying and communicating key messages and implications.
Responsible for assessing and validating complex project plans based on Hitachi’s Consensus methodology, including the necessary deliverables. Able to articulate the benefits and structure of Consensus to both internal and client teams, champion best practice governance, and identify candidate areas for improvement or development of Consensus. Acts as a key player in client C-level relationships, able to inform and advise senior client staff on best practice, risk mitigation, and strategic challenges.
Responsible for leading the resolution of conflict situations, while recognising when it is necessary to call on the support of the Hitachi Executive team. Project Directors are recognised for their ability to own other internal Hitachi processes (Work Order approval, Change Request approval, etc.) when necessary and when requested by the Head of Delivery, and are expected to lead and direct initiatives and improvements within the delivery team.
Effectively manages large and diverse teams, while carrying additional Hitachi business leadership accountabilities. Proven track record in leading large‑scale, multi-million pound implementation programmes within complex organisational environments Provides support and guidance to senior personnel, engaging Senior Management and HR where appropriate. Significant, demonstrable experience in managing large-scale business applications programmes and projects across a range of industries.
