PROGRAM MANAGER (WEAPONS SUSTAINMENT)
About this role
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Sustaining, maintaining, modifying, and fabricating conventional small arms, crew-served weapons, weapon mounts, and minor-caliber systems in military or Special Operations Forces environments; machining, welding, materials selection, and test and evaluation-to assess developmental systems and resolve complex design or operational issues; and supervising civilian and military technicians and understand defense acquisition, lifecycle planning, and Operations and Maintenance budget execution.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Additional Desired Skills: Proven ability to build immediate credibility with elite tactical operators and technical subject-matter experts, using advanced interpersonal techniques to draw out unstated needs. Demonstrated track record guiding operational units through DOTMLPF-P trade-offs unique to maritime special operations (e.g., evaluating tactics/doctrine updates vs.
training pipelines vs. specialized maritime materiel). Maritime Special Operations Domain Knowledge: Substantive familiarity with Naval Special Warfare mission sets, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and specialized maritime equipment (e.g., combat submersibles, tactical combat craft, specialized SOF communications and ordnance). First-hand experience staffing and advocating capability packages through the USSOCOM Requirements & Resources Directorate (J8/J9) and Naval Special Warfare Command headquarters.
