Program manager - Transformation and Strategy
About this role
We are seeking an experienced and delivery-oriented Program Manager to join our Strategy and Transformation team. In this role, you will coordinate and manage a portfolio of strategic transformation projects, acting as the connective tissue between project managers, business owners and sponsors to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and on scope. This is a more senior role than our Strategic Project Analyst position, with greater ownership of governance, stakeholder management and portfolio-level decision-making, and an expectation of prior project or program management experience.
Main responsibilities: Coordinate and manage a portfolio of strategic transformation projects, ensuring priorities are sequenced correctly and interdependencies across projects are actively identified and managed. Support project managers, business owners and sponsors throughout the project lifecycle - from scoping and planning to execution and closure - to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and on scope.
Design and run project governance (steering committees, decision logs, executive updates), giving sponsors and the Senior Leadership Team the visibility they need to make timely decisions and arbitrate trade-offs. Identify, track and escalate risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio, and drive resolution alongside project managers and sponsors. Translate ambiguous or early-stage transformation initiatives into clear scopes, milestones, resourcing plans and success metrics before handing off into delivery.
Lead stakeholder alignment and change management across cross-functional teams (Operations, Marketing, Finance, IT) to secure buy-in and adoption of new processes, tools and ways of working. Build and maintain portfolio-level reporting - roadmap, budget and KPI tracking - for senior management and the Senior Leadership Team. Set and continuously improve project management standards, methodology and tooling across the team (e.g.
Jira, MS Loop), ensuring consistent practices across the portfolio. All this is sync with our Group Wide Project Management Standards Coach and support Strategic Project Analysts on project management best practice, acting as a point of reference on the team for delivery discipline. Represent the Strategy and Transformation team in cross-functional forums, protecting the timeline and interests of strategic projects. Higher education background (business school, engineering school, or equivalent).
