About this role
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet either the education OR experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration and provide a copy of transcripts for verification. To qualify for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include: Experience assisting with the management of helpdesk support for data reporting portals, including troubleshooting reporting issues, and responses to all non-automated messages.
Experience assisting with the management of data quality and integrity in a large database containing information about motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment, including oversight of the quality, integrity, and standardization of manufacturer, product, and component data entries. Experience assisting with the planning and documentation of regulatory compliance reviews and outreach meetings with manufacturers and other tasks associated with part 579 information collection, including processes used to meet the requirements of the Paperwork Reduction Act and Freedom of Information Act.
To qualify for the GS-11 on Education alone, you must have: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of higher level graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Analytical and Evaluative Methods – Demonstrated experience applying qualitative and quantitative techniques to identify problems, measure efficiency, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Policy and Regulatory Application – The skill to interpret, adapt, and implement complex legislative, agency, and operational policies. Communication and Interpersonal Relations – The ability to present complex data clearly, negotiate solutions with management, and represent the office well in interactions with external stakeholders. Independent Project Management – The ability to solve problems and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
