Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
GS-14 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying adult learning theories such as applying expert knowledge of Family Advocacy Program (FAP) policy and operations related to child abuse and neglect, problematic sexual behavior in children and youth, and/or domestic abuse, developing coordinated community response (CCR) strategies across multiple functional areas, collaborating with senior stakeholders to align law enforcement, legal, medical, education, child and youth, and command equities, integrating policy and program requirements into executable guidance or initiatives, and drafting senior-level correspondence and staff actions.
