The recruitment for this position is limited to individuals currently assigned to the 29 TES Det 2., ACC COMMAND: 1C; TECH SUPPORT OSC: TSDT, DYESS AFB, 79607 The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. Completion of recurring continuing education training is required to maintain certification. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical command plans and programs for participating in or conducting major operations such as mission and flight operations, tactical airlift, tactical training, rescue, deployment, mobilization, PPBS, acquisition, special operations, exercise, aircraft training systems both manned and unmanned, rescue, foreign military sales, contingency, or similar operations; expert knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, organizational relationships and program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events; and the relationship of the various command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations; expert knowledge of the application of military aviation training systems expertise as it applies to assigned programs and assigned weapons systems.
