Remote
Product Sourcing & Development Specialist
About this role
Position Type: Full-Time Location: Philippines (Remote) Schedule: Overlap with US Business Hours About the Company Our client is an established consumer goods and e-commerce brand dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality, specialized products to market. Focused on strategic expansion, the brand is streamlining its global supply chain and product development pipeline to turn innovative concepts into market-ready products efficiently.
About the Role The Product Sourcing & Development Specialist owns both key pillars of the product pipeline: New Product Development (taking ideas—from off-the-shelf items to multi-component concepts—through spec design, research, and supplier vetting into quoted shortlists) and Product Commercialization (driving approved products through PO tracking, sample approvals, artwork, compliance, and on-time launch). Working alongside existing Asian sourcing agent relationships and reporting to leadership, this role provides dedicated execution and milestone tracking to keep new product launches moving forward on time and on budget.
This is a 100% remote position. Responsibilities - Product Conceptualization & Spec Development: Translate new product concepts into detailed technical specs and target use cases, whether sourcing simple replicas or engineering complex, multi-component goods. - Marketplace Research & R&D: Conduct keyword research, marketplace analysis (including reverse-engineering listings on Amazon and other retail platforms), and ROI evaluations to validate product viability.
- Supplier & Agent Sourcing: Identify and vet manufacturing partners and sourcing agents across China and Asia. Gather, analyze, and present comparative shortlists of 3–5 price-checked options per product concept. - Costing & Compliance Documentation: Calculate landed cost estimates, including duties, tariffs, and HTS codes. Identify, track, and ensure required product certifications (e.g., ETL, UL) are fully secured before PO issuance.
- Sample & Packaging Artwork Tracking: Coordinate sample requests, packaging design, and line artwork against target launch milestones; proactively identify and flag roadblocks requiring executive decisions. - PO-to-Launch Milestone Management: Track each product through purchase order creation, manufacturing, quality control, shipping handoffs, and final commercial launch. - Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain regular, proactive communication and build strong relationships with Asia-based suppliers and agents.
