Product Manager - Cranial Navigation
About this role
Every day, neurosurgeons around the world rely on Brainlab Cranial Navigation to plan and perform some of the most demanding procedures in medicine. As Product Manager in our Cranial team, you own a core part of this portfolio and shape where it goes next. You are the link between the operating room and our development teams. You spend time with surgeons, understand how our products are really used, and turn those insights into a clear roadmap that R&D can build and Sales can win with.
This is a role with real ownership: you make the prioritization calls, stand behind them, and see the results in hospitals worldwide. What you'll do Own the roadmap for the Cranial Navigation portfolio, prioritizing scope based on clinical need, technical feasibility and market impact, and working closely with R&D to deliver it. Be the voice of the neurosurgeon: gather and synthesize feedback from surgeons, sales, service and market data, and spend at least one week per quarter in the field with customers and in the OR.
Define market requirements, including serviceability and producibility, and analyze competitors to sharpen our positioning. Manage the commercial offering, including article structure, pricing and product information, and track global sales performance to spot opportunities. Lead product launches and enable Sales, distributors and partners through training and clear roadmap communication. Partner with Product Marketing and regional teams on programs and content that drive visibility and adoption.
Initiate and support clinical studies together with Clinical Affairs. Act as a technical expert in customer visits, presentations and in-depth product demonstrations. Must-haves At least 3 years in product management or a comparable role in medical technology or healthcare. A university degree in engineering, natural sciences, business or a related field. Strong technical affinity with complex hardware–software systems.
Proven ability to prioritize, define specifications and balance clinical, technical and business requirements, and to stand behind those decisions. Confidence working with surgeons and clinical staff, including in the OR. A structured, clear communicator who turns complexity into a compelling vision and brings R&D, Sales and Clinical teams along. Fluent English. Based in or willing to relocate to Munich, and willing to travel up to 20%.
