ABOUT THE ROLE This is a product-focused engineering role at a fast-moving energy technology company, sitting at the intersection of customer discovery, full-stack delivery, and engineering culture. You will own mission-critical problems for energy retailers, turning complex domain challenges into intuitive, production-grade experiences. The team is small and mission-driven, so your work will have a direct and visible impact on the business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Spend time with customers to dissect problems and build product intuition that directly shapes engineering decisions. - Ship end-to-end solutions across the full stack, taking features from discovery through to production. - Use AI-native development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor to accelerate delivery and increase your impact. - Own zero-to-one problems including dunning workflows, customer portal re-engineering, and similar initiatives.

- Prioritize and curate the roadmap, deciding what to build, what to skip, and when to kill an initiative. - Solve core energy retail problems across billing, procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization. - Shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes, and help raise the bar when recruiting. - Adapt quickly to new tools and methods, and bring the broader team along with you. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - A clear track record of shipping real, end-to-end full-stack products from discovery through production.

We assess what you have built, not years on a resume. - Strong full-stack capabilities with comfort owning systems end to end. - Demonstrated technical exceptionality through high-bar organizations, standout shipped projects, competitions, research, founding work, or similar strong evidence. - Fluency using AI-native development tools as genuine force multipliers. - High ownership and strong judgment, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and early-stage environments.

- Experience in or a strong interest in energy retail domains such as billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimization. - Native or near-native German fluency (C1 or above) is required for this role. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: 80,000 to 120,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. LOCATION This role is fully on-site in Berlin, Germany, five days per week. Remote arrangements are not available.
