PROCUREMENT ANALYST

About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing an Expert knowledge of methods of contracting and data analysis applicable to the acquisition of supplies, and services to propose or revise policies and provide expert advice and training to promote Category Management.

Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Explaining Category Management practices and principles, strategies in educational/training events or workshops, discussions with customers, or Federal and DOD activities; 2) Analyzing and interpreting contract award data to make recommendations to HCAs to further the use of tiered contract solutions that meet the needs of their requirements, provide expertise in the ordering procedures in utilizing tiered contract solutions or advise and present innovative acquisition strategies to consolidate requirements resulting in a strategic vehicle with better buying power; 3) Evaluating, improving or developing processes to for the efficiency of the acquisition process with market research tools, acquisition templates, contracting handbook guidelines or any other innovative best practice, and communicate via working groups, training events, or any other communication avenue to further the application of CM practices..
