TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.

One year at the GS-06 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 grade level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply. To qualify at the GS-7 grade level, you must meet the following: Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: Analyzing requests for assistance with the movement of detainees or resources; Maintaining a variety of files and records; Completing administrative duties such as data entry and retrieval; and Using office automation equipment and various software packages.

AND Typing Requirement: To qualify for this position, you must have a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. Words per minute are based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
