OPERATIONS PLANNING SPECIALIST (INSTRUCTOR)
About this role
Conditions of Employment: The employee is required to travel by commercial or military aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments. This position may require the employee to occasionally travel for extended periods away from the normal duty station to include CONUS or overseas and may include remote or isolated areas. The employee must be able to obtain and retain a US Government official passport.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance. This position is designated Special Sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
Incumbent of this position is subject to the possibility of a random drug test. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes in-depth knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations toward development and/or improvement of constructive training programs in support of personnel readiness to conduct major military operations such as war, mobilization, deployment, exercise, Special Operations, command and control, or similar operations.
