Please apply as soon as possible The Fairphone Software Engineering team is seeking a Open Source Software Engineer focused on AOSP and the Android ecosystem to reshape Fairphone’s ambition on open sourcing. Open source is already part of Fairphone’s mission and we’re publishing a lot of source code of our devices and apps and services. However we want to redefine how we engage with open source communities and partners and build a stronger relationship with them.
You will be the main driver behind this mission: You will shape our strategy for collaborating with open source contributors especially on our device source trees. You will drive upstreaming activities towards AOSP but also community projects such as LineageOS. You will also work with current and future Android partners such as Murena, CalyxOS or Nura. Open sourcing is key to our longevity strategy and therefore also directly feeding into our environmental and social impact goals.
