The National Channel Manager will be responsible for managing and growing our network of VAR partners across the country. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting VARs to ensure they are equipped to drive sales and meet our company’s goals. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop strategies that empower our partners and maximize our market presence.
THE DAY-TO-DAY Identify potential VAR partners that align with our company’s market goals and values from recruitment through initial engagement and signing. Develop training materials and conduct initial training sessions for new VAR partners on using the partner portal and understanding our sales processes. Maintain, and support relationships with VAR partners through emails, calls, and in-person meetings including quarterly review meetings to discuss performance, goals, and strategies.
Work closely with the sales and marketing departments to develop strategies that empower VARs to maximize sales. Utilize our CRM to track VAR sales performance and other relevant metrics and address underperformance with targeted support and additional training resources. Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term channel strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives. Identify market trends and adjust channel strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
Work closely with product teams to provide feedback from VARs that can inform product development and enhancements. Present findings to senior management and recommend action plans to address any challenges. WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED Minimum five years experience in channel management or sales, (preferably for a startup) with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Strong understanding of VAR networks and the technology market.
