Remote
Mobile Engineering Manager - Sensing Discovery
About this role
Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles. Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team.
As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office. This is a remote US role with a preference for east coast time zone. Openness to flexible hours to support cross-time-zone collaboration with teams in Europe and the U.S. About the role We are seeking a highly motivated, technical Engineering Manager to lead our Sensing Discovery Squad – the team that turns brand-new sensing signals into validated, productizable capabilities at the very front edge of Oura’s roadmap.
You’ll lead the work that takes raw signals from emerging sensing technologies on next-generation Oura hardware and turns them into algorithms, prototypes, and shippable member experiences. Partnering tightly with Science and Hardware, you’ll go from raw signal → validated capability → product, de-risking the sensor foundations that future Oura products are built on. This is a rare blend of innovation and impact: your team both explores new sensing capabilities and ships them.
You’ll thrive here if you love the ambiguity of early discovery but are equally motivated by getting validated capabilities into members’ hands. Success requires strong people leadership plus the technical depth to guide hard trade-offs across science, hardware, and software and help the team move fast. Join us to define the future of health and wellness products! What you will do Explore and ship new sensing capabilities by leading a (mobile) engineering team that moves ideas from prototype to validated capability to, where it counts, production-quality features for members.
