About this role
Five (5) years of specialized experience demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Marine Corps (USMC) organizational structure, mission, and operational environment; Demonstrated experience working within Marine Corps Community Services, Moral Welfare and Recreation, Non-Appropriated Funds, Department of War (DoW), military installation, or comparable organizational environments. Demonstrated experience managing supervisors, managers, or employees.
The position requires the ability to establish performance expectations, coach and develop managers, evaluate performance, resolve personnel and operational issues, and lead through subordinate supervisors or managers. Knowledge of DoW, Department of the Navy (DON), and USMC policies and requirements applicable to strategic planning, program integration, and enterprise-level oversight. Demonstrated experience in strategic program management, planning, programming, budgeting, and resource management; developing, implementing, and assessing complex programs and initiatives; identifying emerging requirements, risks, and trends; and developing solutions to organizational challenges.
Ability to interpret and integrate congressional direction, Executive Orders, DoW and DON guidance, and USMC policy into program planning and execution while balancing mission requirements and resource constraints. Demonstrated ability to coordinate across organizations and functional areas, establish priorities, develop program requirements, and communicate effectively with senior military and civilian leaders.
