Manufacturing Engineer

ALTEN UK is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a major aerospace manufacturing programme based in Broughton. This opportunity is ideally suited to a junior engineer with around 2-3 years of industry experience who is looking to further develop their career within a highly regulated aerospace environment. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing activities, improve processes, and ensure production documentation meets the highest standards Location: Broughton On Site: Fully onsite Clearance: Clearable Experience Level: Junior - Mid Key Responsibilities: Support manufacturing and production engineering activities across the assembly and production environment.
Conduct and support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities. Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . Assist in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes. Support the investigation and resolution of manufacturing issues. Ensure production documentation is accurate and compliant with quality requirements. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Engineering.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Required Skills: 2-3 years' experience within a Manufacturing Engineer , Production Engineer , or Process Engineer position. Previous experience within the aerospace industry . Experience supporting or conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) . Experience reviewing or creating SOIs, SOPs, work instructions, or manufacturing process documentation .
Good understanding of manufacturing processes within a regulated engineering environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering , or equivalent military experience . Desirable Skills: Experience using SAP . Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and quality processes. Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting composite, metallic, mechanical, or assembly manufacturing operations Why join us?
