Manager of Government Affairs
About this role
Infleqtion is seeking a Manager of Government Affairs to help advance the company’s U.S. federal government affairs strategy at the intersection of quantum technology, national security, space, energy, research, and critical infrastructure. Reporting to the Vice President of Government Affairs, this role will support congressional engagement, appropriations and authorization activity, agency outreach, policy analysis, stakeholder mapping, and executive briefing preparation.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative government affairs professional who understands the federal policymaking and budget process and can translate complex technical priorities into clear, credible, and actionable policy narratives. This person will work closely with Business Development, Contracts, Proposals, Product, Engineering, Communications, Legal, external advisors, and industry partners to ensure Infleqtion’s government affairs activities are aligned with business priorities and executed with urgency, integrity, and precision.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain tracking systems for congressional, agency, appropriations, authorization, regulatory, and policy activity relevant to Infleqtion’s business priorities. Monitor and analyze federal legislation, appropriations bills, NDAA activity, agency budgets, committee hearings, administration policy, regulatory developments, and emerging technology priorities; summarize implications and recommend next steps.
Support execution of congressional engagement plans, including outreach to Member offices, committee staff, delegation staff, agency officials, industry organizations, and other stakeholders. Prepare high-quality briefing materials, one-pagers, leave-behinds, talking points, hearing summaries, policy memos, engagement plans, and follow-up materials for internal and external audiences. Coordinate closely with Business Development, Capture, Proposals, Contracts, and technical teams to connect policy opportunities with customer needs, program objectives, funding pathways, and Infleqtion’s technology roadmap.
Support appropriations and authorization efforts, including draft requests, report language concepts, letters of support, stakeholder maps, delegation materials, and related engagement timelines. Plan and coordinate congressional and agency meetings, Hill days, executive visits, facility tours, industry events, and stakeholder briefings. Maintain a clear operating rhythm for government affairs priorities, including meeting notes, action items, contact records, engagement history, deadlines, and deliverables.
