About this role

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) conducting, planning, and organizing projects and analytical studies of considerable scope to evaluate and recommend methods for improving program efficiency, organizational structures, and business metrics; 2) managing a full range of project activities similar to those of a Contracting Officer Representative (COR), such as establishing project schedules and deliverables, coordinating resources, monitoring contractor performance, and providing advice to program managers; and 3) providing budgetary and financial monitoring support, including tracking program allocations and spend plans, reconciling contractor invoices, analyzing budget variances, and preparing financial status reports for leadership.

"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
