You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required.

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Worker ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform simple maintenance and upkeep to public buildings, and/or recreational facilities.

Performing simple plumbing components, and repair structures composed of wood or concrete. Replacing and maintaining such things as pipes, tile union joints, faucets, and drains. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort:The work involves standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and sitting for prolonged time periods. Work involves light to heavy physical effort requiring the incumbent to physically handle objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:Work is performed mostly out-of-doors, subject to hazards of darkness and inclement weather. Routinely works adjacent and/or over waterway. Works in close proximity to moving machinery and electrical equipment. The dams are located in isolated areas which will require extensive time out of the office. Position may require call back after duty hours and/or weekends.
