Leveraged Finance Lawyer

About this role

We are currently seeking Leveraged Finance Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients across financial services, private equity, investment, corporate, and other industry sectors, supporting complex leveraged finance, acquisition finance, private credit, sponsor-backed lending, refinancing, and cross-border financing matters. Responsibilities: Support a range of financing and transactional matters, including leveraged and acquisition finance, lending, refinancing, private credit and cross-border transactions.

Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to lenders, borrowers, sponsors, financial institutions and internal business stakeholders. Draft, review and negotiate finance and transaction documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, ancillary agreements and other commercial documentation. Work closely with legal, finance, treasury, investment, commercial, risk and external counsel teams to manage legal risk and progress transactions efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with relevant UK legal experience. Experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance, banking and finance, corporate lending, private credit, debt finance or a related transactional practice area. Strong drafting, review, negotiation and advisory skills, with experience of finance, lending, security or other commercial transaction documentation.

Commercially minded, collaborative and confident working with a range of stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
