About the role As Legal Counsel for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty you will report directly to a Senior Legal Counsel.

You will advise the international business on day-to-day legal matters, delivering to the business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth. Your remit covers legal support to the global (excluding China) direct and indirect procurement teams and the commercial retail teams for UK, Europe, Middle East, South Africa and Australia (“ EMEA ”), APAC and Travel Retail, along with new market expansion.

You will support the business on negotiating and drafting a wide range of contracts including new retail/franchise/distribution agreements, store design and leases and commercial contracts relating to supply chain, professional services, logistics, facilities, visual merchandise, IT and digital and other third party engagements. You will also support the legal team to develop and enhance effective working processes with the business to ensure that the business’ objectives are achieved within appropriate timescales and with the relevant stakeholder approval.

As required, you will assist other areas of the business and legal team on a broad range of legal matters. As Legal Counsel you will Assisting with legal affairs relating to procurement, retail and new market expansion matters, with supervision from a Senior Legal Counsel Supporting the business with day-to-day legal queries, identifying legal risks and providing commercially sound advice Assisting with the development and implementation of legal procedures and policies to ensure the business’ compliance with applicable laws Drafting, negotiating and reviewing contracts, legal documents and other regulatory or contractual requirements Supporting the business with legal proceedings, working with outside counsel when required Preparing and conducting legal training for staff Key Attributes Communication and Stakeholder Management Accurate, clear and concise communication (written and oral) of legal and non-legal information Knows the importance of good working relationships (internal and external); communicates and builds trust and rapport Demonstrates presentation skills that effectively convey a message Organises and co-ordinates workload and priorities to provide timely and effective support Show flexibility and overcomes difficulties to achieve results within targets and timescales Demonstrates and displays the Charlotte Tilbury values at all times Professional Excellence & Business Acumen Qualified legal professional Researches effectively to develop understanding of the law or specialist area Drafts and negotiates in a logical manner using standard templates and precedents.

Takes ownership of documentation produced Applies knowledge and skills relevant to role. Asks questions to understand context, clarify deadlines and understand expectations Encourages and supports others to adapt to change Takes the initiative and demonstrates personal ownership to get things done despite barriers and obstacles Professional Experience Qualified Solicitor – England and Wales (1-2 years’ PQE) Solid training and qualifications from a leading national or international law firm or reputable business Experience of working for a global brand and advising on multi-jurisdictional issues is highly desirable Working Environment Office based: Central London (hybrid working, office based for 3 days per week) Charlotte Tilbury is a dynamic and fun place to work.
