About this role

Salary: £42,663 - £49,399 per annum Employment type: Fixed Term Contract for 12 months (Maternity Cover) Hours per week: 37 Reporting into: Senior Lecturer Department: Department of Psychology - UG Click here to read the full job description and view our excellent benefits here This role will require a presence of at least 4 days a week on our Manchester campus, with 1 day working from home. You maybe required to be on campus 5 days a week in some cases, based on teaching, student timetables and meeting requirements.

Our hybrid working model arrangements are a non-contractual benefit so please note that an Arden work location is added to our employment contracts and you maybe asked to come in full time at any point during your employment. About the Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Lecturer in Psychology to join our Department of Psychology - UG to work in our Manchester Campus to cover a period of maternity leave. In this role you will be required to contribute to the development and delivery of our programmes.

You will: Deliver excellent teaching, learning and support to our students. Act as a Personal Academic Coach (PAC), supporting students' engagement, progression and academic success. Lead and develop modules, ensuring high-quality learning materials and curriculum development. Design excellent digital teaching material ensuring that content and methods of delivery meet defined learning objectives. Undertake assessment marking, design authentic assessments, and provide high-quality feedback.

Manage your own teaching activity and reflect on practice and development of skills, with support/guidance as needed. Undertake administrative activities to support teaching and learning activities. Actively contribute to School level activity. About You: To be successful as a Lecturer in Psychology you will need: An MSc or equivalent qualification in Psychology, with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) recognised by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Experience in teaching, learning, assessment, dissertation supervision, and pastoral care practices in Higher Education. A track record of successfully contributing to programme teams and being an inspiring and creative lecturer. AdvanceHE Recognition - FHEA or willing to achieve within 12-18 months. We encourage applications from those with experience teaching across the core BPS curriculum. Highly Desirable Criteria: A PhD (or close to completion) in Psychology or a closely related subject.

Expertise in, or a willingness to engage in, appropriate applied AI practices.
