About this role
Within an international environment focused on technology and innovation, we are looking for a Jurist Contracts & New Technologies to strengthen the legal support provided to the Group’s operations across the Iberian Peninsula. The position will report to the Group Legal Department , based in France. The role is primarily focused on the negotiation, review and management of supplier contracts, with a strong emphasis on technology-related agreements and IT solutions.
Cybersecurity and personal data protection matters will not be directly handled by the Jurist but will require regular interaction with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) during contractual negotiations. The position will also serve as the local legal point of contact for commercial activities in Portugal and Spain, while providing legal and paralegal support on local administrative matters.
Key Responsibilities 1. Procurement Contract Negotiation & Risk Management (60%) Negotiate supplier contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, maintenance contracts, and other technology-related contracts. Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks. Ensure the protection and compliance of the company's contractual commitments. Support Procurement teams throughout negotiations with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments related to new technologies in Portugal and Spain. 2. Legal Support for Commercial Contracts (25%) Act as the local legal point of contact for commercial teams in Lisbon and Madrid, in coordination with the Group Legal Department based in France. Participate in the review of customer contracts alongside Portuguese and Spanish sales teams. Coordinate with the Group Legal Department whenever necessary.
Facilitate the implementation of contractual standards adapted to local legal requirements and business practices. 3. Paralegal Activities (15%) Manage local administrative procedures and legal formalities. Support document management and contract archiving activities. Assist with maintaining legal documentation and records in compliance with internal standards. Requirements Master's Degree in Business Law, Contract Law, Technology Law, or a related legal discipline.
