YOUR ROLE AT HOSTINGER As a Junior Network Engineer, you’ll help operate and grow Hostinger’s global network of nearly 1,000 network devices across data centers worldwide. You’ll work hands-on with Linux networking, BGP, peering, automation, observability, and DDoS protection, while learning how large-scale production networks are built and operated.
We automate repetitive work, avoid manual configuration where possible, and focus on building a network that is reliable, scalable, and easy to operate. Curious to learn more? Meet your future Team Lead: Tomas Vilemaitis, Engineering Manager https://www.linkedin.com/in/tomasvi/ YOUR DAY-TO-DAY - Help maintain Hostinger’s global network and learn how we keep it reliable. - Learn how networks connect - including BGP routing, peering, transit services and Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) - with guidance from experienced teammates.
- Use Python, Ansible and NetBox to help automate routine work and keep network information organized. - Support IP address management by helping with address allocation, capacity tracking and up - to - date records. - Monitor network health with Prometheus and Grafana, and learn how sFlow telemetry helps us spot issues. - Help investigate packet loss, routing problems and performance issues alongside experienced engineers.
- Contribute to improvements in DDoS protection and other network security controls. - Build practical experience with Linux networking, routers, switches and network services. - Collaborate with infrastructure, hardware, security, monitoring and product teams. - Help improve documentation and runbooks so network tasks are easier to understand and follow. WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED - Basic Linux and networking knowledge - you do not need to be an expert, but a solid foundation is important.
