Junior PMO Analyst

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 01 September 2026 - 30 August, 2027 Work set up: Hybrid (3 days onsite is mandatory) Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior PMO Analyst to support portfolio governance, reporting, and project management activities within a fast-paced banking environment. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in project support, PMO administration, reporting, or business coordination and is looking to develop their career within project and portfolio management.
You will work closely with Project Managers, PMO colleagues, and senior stakeholders to help maintain governance standards, produce reporting, and support successful delivery across a range of initiatives. What you will do: Support the preparation and maintenance of portfolio and project reporting. Assist with gathering, validating, and consolidating information from project teams. Maintain project documentation, governance artefacts, and PMO records.
Track project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies, escalating where appropriate. Produce regular management information (MI), dashboards, and status reports. Support governance meetings through agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking. Assist with data analysis and reporting to identify trends, risks, and delivery performance. Create and update presentations for project and stakeholder meetings. Ensure reporting and documentation are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the PMO function. Previous experience in a PMO, Project Support, Project Coordinator, Business Support, or similar role. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to analyse data and present findings in a clear and structured way. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience producing reports, dashboards, or management information. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation. Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. Experience working within financial services or a regulated environment. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
