Copenhagen's bravest oat enthusiast with commercial drive If you walk past a new café and think, “I wonder who owns that place,” keep reading. At Oatly, we’re looking for a Business Developer to join our Danish team in Copenhagen. Someone who likes people, new places, and the feeling of opening a door that was closed yesterday. You’ll spend a big part of your time out on the streets. Not on Teams. Not in PowerPoint. Out where the coffees are made, menus are decided, and great relationships begin.

Your mission is pretty simple to explain: Get more of the right cafés, restaurants, and bakeries to choose Oatly. How you do that is a little less simple. We know exactly which places we’d like to work with. Your job is to figure out who makes the decisions, walk through the door, start the conversation, listen, and, most importantly, follow up. Find the right reason to come back and show why Oatly can be so much more than just another carton behind the bar.

Some say yes. Some say no. Some say no three times, and yes the fourth. We want a person who will get a yes, no matter how many tries are needed. You don’t need to follow the traditional route into sales. Maybe you come from the café, restaurant, or coffee world. Maybe you’ve already worked in a commercial role. What matters most is that you have the drive, curiosity, and courage to create your own opportunities. You need to enjoy reaching out to people, including the ones you haven’t met yet.

You need to be able to work independently without becoming a lone wolf. And you should be curious about both the customer’s business and the world they operate in. We’re a small Danish team that works closely together, shares ideas, helps each other out, debates taste, customers, and things that probably shouldn’t be up for discussion. We’re looking for someone who wants to get out there and find the next place before everyone else discovers it.

You will identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships, and create awareness for plant-based alternatives in the food and beverage scene. Here are the main elements of the role... Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Copenhagen OOH landscape.

Conduct frequent field visits to stay close to market developments and customer needs. Build and maintain a strong network within the Horeca and coffee scene. Map your network in Oatly’s CRM system and manage prospecting activities. Support Oatly events and brand activations to maximize impact. Meet and exceed sales targets while promoting Oatly’s values. In this role, you will report into the Commercial Director OOH, and the location for this role is Copenhagen, Denmark.

We’re on the lookout for passionate, driven individuals who love building relationships and thrive in fast-paced environments. If you’re excited about shaping the Out-of-Home experience and growing with a dynamic team, this is your opportunity! What you’ll bring to the table: 3-5 years of experience in a commercial role, ideally in Out-of-Home, field sales, or FMCG.

A strong connection to Horeca or the food & beverage scene, you know the vibe and feel at home there. A valid driver’s license. Fluency in Danish & English. Extra points if you have: A track record in lead generation, prospecting, and hitting measurable targets. Confidence with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and social media know-how. Experience in entrepreneurial environments or scale-ups. A network and/or strong connection to the city of Copenhagen.
