EU remote
Junior AI Engineer (image & video generation)
About this role
Working language: English (Estonian not required). Remote; Tallinn optional Work tasks: MyArchitectAI is AI rendering software for architects and interior designers. Users upload a design and get a photorealistic render in seconds that keeps their geometry and materials. Then they can swap materials, change lighting and objects, upscale, or turn the still into a video. We're a small founder-led team and we move fast. Our working language is English.
We're looking for an early-career engineer who is already building things with generative image or video models on their own initiative. We care more about how fast you're improving than about your CV, and we want someone to grow with us for the long term. - In your first month you learn the product, the model pipelines and the quality bar, and ship a small but real improvement with a founder: a workflow, an evaluation script, a fix for a failing case, or an automation that removes manual work.
- By three months you own a recurring piece of work end to end, such as maintaining an evaluation set, triaging generation failures, or keeping a model pipeline current. You ship several contributions, at least one you proposed yourself. - You read the research and release notes, try things, measure them, and report what they're worth. - After 6–12 months you take on features with just a goal and a deadline. We offer: - Daily mentoring from the founders and real tasks from week one.- GPU access.
- Remote work; Tallinn optional. - Employment contract or contractor agreement, as you prefer. - English is our working language; Estonian is not required. - Room to grow with us for years. - Salary about €3,000 net per month (approx. €3,700–3,900 gross). Other requirements: You have: - Public things you built yourself with image or video models: code, LoRAs, ComfyUI workflows, small apps or documented experiments. - Meaningful work in the last six months, with a trail going back at least a few months.
- You're early in your career: student, self-taught, bootcamp, first or second job, or changing careers. - You can explain what you built, why it failed the first time, and how you knew it improved. - Written English good enough to work with two founders every day (our working language). Estonian is not required. Big plus: Comparisons or small benchmarks you ran yourself, with a conclusion; running models on modest hardware (quantisation, memory, speed); reimplementing a paper or technique; helpful, precise answers in GitHub issues or Discord; small things with real users (a Hugging Face Space, a bot, a plugin).
