Jira Administrator, Atlassian Platform
About this role
JIRA ADMINISTRATOR, ATLASSIAN PLATFORM Location: Pune, India (hybrid) | Team: Technology / Platform Engineering | Level: Mid-Level OVERVIEW APEXX is an independent, enterprise payment orchestration platform. Merchants connect to APEXX once and reach the world's payment ecosystem: acquirers, alternative payment methods (APMs), Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) providers and network tokenisation. Our routing engine (AIRE), cascading, Smart Split and Revenue Protect decide in milliseconds where each transaction should go to maximise acceptance and minimise cost.
We don't own an acquirer, so our only incentive is the merchant's outcome. We're backed by MMC, Forward Partners, Alliance VC & Finch Capital and growing with enterprise travel and eCommerce merchants including Jet2, TUI, Ryanair, CarTrawler and Hotelbeds. We're looking for a Jira Administrator in Pune to own and evolve our Atlassian environment and help teams across APEXX work more effectively. Jira sits at the centre of how our Engineering, Product, Customer Experience and operational teams plan, track and deliver work.
You'll be responsible for making sure the platform remains well structured, secure, scalable and genuinely useful as the business grows. This isn't just a ticket administration role. You'll work directly with teams to understand how they operate, design better workflows, automate repetitive processes, maintain integrations and establish sensible governance across our Atlassian estate. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Own our Jira environment end to end: administer projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions, notification schemes, boards, filters and dashboards.
- Design scalable workflows: work with Engineering, Product, Customer Experience and business teams to translate real operating processes into simple, effective Jira workflows without unnecessary complexity. - Build automation: use Jira Automation and integrations to remove repetitive administration, improve data quality and connect workflows across teams and systems. - Establish Jira governance: define standards for project creation, custom fields, workflows, permissions, naming conventions and configuration changes so the platform remains manageable as we scale.
