IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK SERVICES/SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION)

About this role

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have one year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade that demonstrates responsibility for the overall planning and coordinating of the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mission systems hardware and software. Experience serving as Network Administrator responsible for the overall integrity of the BCS-F networks and their ability to meet mission requirement.

Demonstrated responsibility for overall training efforts, planning, and coordination of C2 systems' administrator and maintenance training for the Eastern Air Defense Sector. Experience serving as the Network Security Officer responsible for managing network security and protection, administering security measures and performing security auditing. experience ensuring compliance with governing directives on physical, operational, and communications security, implementing network security and protection.
