IT SPECIALIST (NET)
About this role
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Local Area Network (LAN) components such as routers and switches, including configuring VLANs, routing protocols, or switch port security. Experience using network management tools (e.g., SNMP-based monitors) to analyze network traffic, monitor device performance, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Experience assisting with the management of network firewalls by implementing and troubleshooting access control lists (ACLs) or rule sets.
Experience performing configuration backups of network devices, applying security patches or updates to network hardware, and assisting with vulnerability remediation on network components. -AND- Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. Experience: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
