IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
About this role
I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Cybersecurity - applying comprehensive information assurance (IA) principles, DoD/Navy cybersecurity policies, and tools consistent with the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) role 722 for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), with preferred experience implementing these security guidelines within the OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) environment.
2. IT Hardware Management- must possess hands-on experience managing IT hardware and information resources, to include performing physical inventories and utilizing asset management database systems like Remedy to track and manage IT assets effectively. 3. Oral/Written Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively to clearly and concisely convey complex technical information both orally and in writing to diverse audiences, alongside a demonstrated record of accountability in managing IT programs and resources to ensure successful mission accomplishment while strictly adhering to established security protocols.
4. Navy Enterprise Network-Requires understanding of the processes and procedures specific to the OCONUS Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net). In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have direct applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1) Providing technical support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records in association with asset management and; 2) Ensures information security throughout the relevant AOR by managing information-related risks such as privacy, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality and; 3) Accountability in managing IT programs and resources to ensure successful mission accomplishment while strictly adhering to established security protocols.
