IT Program Manager - Pharma Transformation Programs
About this role
The IT Program Manager is responsible for leading complex, global IT transformation programs within the pharmaceutical industry, including enterprise platform implementations, legacy system modernization, commercial system consolidation, and IT separation initiatives. The role ensures successful program delivery by driving strategic planning, governance, stakeholder alignment, risk management, budget control, and business value realization across multiple workstreams and regions.
Key Responsibilities Lead large-scale IT transformation programs, including SaaS implementations, legacy system replacements, and digital modernization initiatives. Manage end-to-end program governance, planning, execution, risk management, and budget oversight. Drive commercial platform transformation initiatives, including CPQ, order management, and order-to-cash process optimization. Coordinate cross-functional teams across Business, IT, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Commercial, and external partners.
Lead carve-out and TSA-based migration activities, ensuring successful separation and transition of systems, processes, and services. Manage executive stakeholder communications, steering committees, and program reporting. Ensure alignment between business objectives, technology roadmaps, and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical environment. Monitor program performance, dependencies, and risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent program management certification preferred. Minimum 8 years of program management experience leading large-scale enterprise IT transformation initiatives. Proven experience delivering SaaS implementations, legacy system modernization, and enterprise platform transformation programs.
Strong experience with CPQ, order management, commercial systems, and global system consolidation programs. Demonstrated experience managing carve-out, divestiture, TSA-based migrations, or IT separation programs. Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes. Strong stakeholder management, financial governance, vendor management, and risk management capabilities. Experience working in global pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, or highly regulated environments.
