About this role
In addition to the mandatory education requirement, all applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing substantive risk assessments to determine financial materiality and identify which financial and operational processes to test; Testing the design and operating effectiveness of financial and operational internal controls, identifying deficiencies, and recommending corrective actions; Applying OMB Circular A-123, including its appendices governing reporting/data integrity, risk, and payment integrity, to assess and strengthen the agency control environment; Overseeing corrective action planning, tracking, and monitoring, and supporting or leading an organization's annual Statements of Assurance process; AND Leading an internal controls program, including developing policies and procedures and briefing senior executives on program operations.
