About this role

GS-13: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing critical technical expertise to senior leadership, communicating complex information to diverse stakeholders, and developing clear written technical documentation.

Experience reducing complex, interrelated or incomplete technical engineering data to assemble from, conduct subsequent analysis and assessments, draw conclusions and make recommendations, and have significant impacts on technical matters that have not been previously explored. Experience creating and executing a complete life cycle test and evaluation program for a class of systems or products for oceanographic or hydrographic data collection and processing systems.

Experience utilizing autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) systems including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of AUV platforms and their associated subsystems such as navigation, power, communication, propulsion, and payload. GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing system requirements, developing specifications, and ensuring interoperability. Experience providing technical direction and coordination of operational survey system support requirements. Experience reviewing and evaluating the various phases of work to ensure the orderly flow and coordination efforts between the engineers and technicians. Experience planning and directing technical efforts in establishing the requirements for acquiring and maintaining spare parts, technical manuals, and related documentation, technical training, support equipment, and facilities for operational survey systems.
