Basic Requirements: Biologist (0401): bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of education and experience; Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Basic Requirement for Toxicologist: Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in toxicology; or an appropriate discipline of the biological, medical, or veterinary sciences that included at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, biochemistry, or physiology, and 12 semester hours in toxicology.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes reviewing research contracts; assisting with toxicological research; and assigning and reviewing work This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
