INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST
About this role
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: develop and advise type program manager and unit commander on policy related to the initiation and execution of unusual, sensitive and complex deception issues and associated problems impacting the unit's operational mission.
Incumbent be able to consider actual and potential problems and present findings and recommendations to the program manager and unit commander. Assists in managing the overall security management program as it relates to operational security. Develops and implements unit policies, standards, procedures, and training for effective management of all aspects of operations security to ensure information and resources are properly protected.
Conducts extensive research from non-governmental/military resources in the development and implementation of organizational deception plans. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.
Knowledge of all aspects of operational security for worldwide sensitive air support and employment mission requirements, including fixed wing, ground refueling, air refueling, navigation and offensive/defensive employment operations for air assets. 2. Knowledge of developing, implementing and employing Air Force deception plans while conducting training and real world missions. 3. Knowledge of joint special operations doctrine to include domestic and overseas command relationships.
