INTELLIGENCE RESEARCH SPECIALIST (WATCH OFFICER)

About this role

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized Experience for the GS-11, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as AT LEAST ONE of the following: -Experience preparing intelligence or other assessments in the fields of terrorist financing, money laundering, or Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) proliferation; OR -Experience with intelligence collection, processing, production, and dissemination principles and techniques.

OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, if related; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related; or LL.M., if related; OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 2 years may be combined with experience.

Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Specialized Experience for the GS-09, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as AT LEAST ONE of the following: -Experience assisting with intelligence collection, processing, production and/or dissemination principles and techniques; OR -Experience with basic intelligence concepts or practices.

OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, if related; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be combined with experience.
