Inspections Investigations and Intelligence Oversight Specialist

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the13 grade level in the Federal service: Conducting investigations, inspections, or assessments with the ability to exercise tact, initiative, ingenuity, resourcefulness, and judgment in collecting and analyzing facts, evidence, and other pertinent data to provide conclusions in a formal report Conducting intelligence inspections and investigations, providing direction to agency intelligence program managers with respect to compliance and oversight during execution of intelligence mission areas Reviewing and analyzing inspection, investigation, and inquiry reports to ensure technical accuracy and sufficiency, compliance with established policies, total quality, readability, and develop new approaches based on identified weaknesses Conducting preliminary analysis of matters presented to the IG for resolution to include: analyzing the veracity of the concern, researching applicable standards, articulating results either verbally or in writing, developing program goals and requirements, and balancing workload of multiple cases Researching, interpreting, analyzing, collecting, and abstracting information to determine an appropriate courses of action, offering management various recommendations or options for consideration.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
