This is an exciting opportunity to join Taylor & Francis as an Insights Executive , where you'll play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across our books retail operations. You'll be at the heart of our commercial intelligence function, transforming complex market, sales and marketing data into actionable insights that shape business strategy. Working collaboratively with commercial teams, marketing teams and senior leadership, you'll build sophisticated reporting dashboards, track critical KPIs, and uncover the stories behind the numbers.

This role is offered on a hybrid working basis with 3 days per week to be worked from our office in Milton Park, Oxfordshire (OX14). Closing date for applications: Friday 2nd October 2026. Key Accountabilities: Market Intelligence & Analysis Develop a comprehensive understanding of the books retail market landscape and Taylor & Francis commercial and marketing operations Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends, sales data, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and risks Assist in translating complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that drive commercial strategy Collaborate with marketing teams to evaluate performance, measure success, and leverage insights to drive campaign innovation Reporting & Dashboard Development Design, build, and maintain interactive reporting dashboards that enhance visibility across the business Continuously optimise reporting tools to meet evolving business requirements and improve user experience Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting packages to key stakeholders across the organisation Business Partnership & Support Serve as a trusted analytical partner to commercial and marketing colleagues, providing responsive ad hoc reporting and data insights Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business challenges and deliver tailored analytical solutions Monitor and report on divisional KPIs, highlighting performance trends and recommending corrective actions where needed The ideal candidate will have: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of turning data into insights Experience working across multiple functions to support sales and marketing teams Working knowledge of database management systems and expertise in Microsoft Power BI for data visualisation Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and proficient across the Microsoft Office suite Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities Background or familiarity with publishing industry operations or retail sales environments Experience working with large-scale commercial datasets Skills and Behaviours Required Thrive in a dynamic, varied environment where adaptability and curiosity are essential Demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities with the skill to prioritise effectively based on shifting business needs Embrace change positively and contribute constructively to an evolving business landscape Show genuine interest in understanding the "why" behind data patterns, not just reporting the "what" Driven to create meaningful business impact rather than simply producing routine reports Work collaboratively with fellow analysts and cross-functional teams in a supportive, team-oriented manner Build strong working relationships across departments, understanding the needs of colleagues outside the immediate insights, sales and marketing functions Communicate findings confidently and clearly to audiences at all levels Present complex analytical work in an accessible, compelling manner that drives decision-making Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality Apply strong analytical reasoning and sound judgment to problem-solving Demonstrate confident decision-making abilities backed by data-driven insights Show intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset We believe that great things happen when people connect face-to-face.
