About this role

To qualify for this position at the FV-H, (FG/GS 12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, (FG/GS 10/11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience includes: experience providing technical advice and assistance to planning personnel, supply management personnel, and others engaged in the logistics support of assigned NAS systems; providing analytical support, assistance, and guidance to management and support personnel; reviewing trends, causes, and probable future developments in assigned areas and recommends improvements to processes. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS: You must be able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position without hazard to yourself or others. Selectee must pass a pre-employment physical prior to appointment. Physical - Light lifting - under 15 pounds; light carrying, under 15 pounds; straight pulling (.5 hr); pulling hand over hand (.5 hr); pushing (2 hr); reaching above shoulders; use of fingers; both hands required; walking (2 hr); standing (1 hr); kneeling (.5 hr); repeated bending (.5 hr); both legs required; near vision correctable at 13" to 16" to Jaeger 1 to 4; both eyes required; depth perception; hearing (aid may be permitted).

Environmental -Outside and inside, excessive heat, excessive cold, excessive humidity, excessive dampness or chilling, excessive noise - intermittent, dust, fumes, grease and oils, slippery or uneven walking surfaces, working around machinery and moving vehicles, working closely with others, working alone.
